Starting a new section on jembe drumming, with our local drumming circle in mind; it will be a place to look up the patterns and songs we play, with perhaps some bonus waffle thrown in.
Most of what I've learned has been via word of mouth, or playing the jembe, which is in keeping with the traditions of the instrument as I understand it.
The jembe is to hand drumming what the guitar is to toned instruments; it comes from a particular culture, but is such a great instrument that possible uses fan outwards far beyond that starting point!
